PATH Vietnam: Tour of Duty (the “game”) is a single-player, browser-based work of historical fiction published by P.A.T.H. Games (“we”, “us”). It depicts armed conflict and its human cost. It contains mature material that may not be appropriate for all audiences.
Before gameplay, the game shows these warnings: General Mature Content — mature topics that may not be appropriate for all audiences; Frequent Violence or Gore; and Some Nudity or Sexual Content, which is not the primary focus. By continuing, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Your browser remembers that you continued past the current notice, but this preference is not attached to your account or sent to our servers. Clearing site data, changing browsers, or a new notice version will show the notice again.
A player account is required before gameplay. You may create or enter an account using email and password or a supported third-party sign-in provider such as Google. We do not create new anonymous trial accounts. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and sign-in provider secure and for activity on your account. One person per account. You may choose an operator name shown in place of your email; keep it civil (see §5).
Some things you type are yours: your soldier’s name and hometown, your journal entries, your after-action reports, and any story you submit to the in-game memorial. By creating it in the game you grant P.A.T.H. Games a worldwide, royalty-free, exclusive licence to host, store, display, back up, and use it to operate and improve the game, and — where you submit it to a shared surface such as the memorial — to display it to other players after our review. You are responsible for what you write, and you agree not to submit anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or infringing.
Don’t attempt to break, probe, or abuse the backend; don’t impersonate staff or the publisher; don’t use operator names or submitted text to harass or to post slurs; don’t scrape or resell the game or its content. We may suspend or remove accounts and content that break these rules.
You can delete your account at any time from within the game. When you do, your identity is removed — your sign-in, email, and operator name — and cannot be recovered. Your gameplay and tour data are retained as our content, de-identified and re-keyed to an anonymous player number, so that the record of the choices made in the game endures.
The game, its code, art, writing, characters, rules system (the PATH System), and the PATH: Vietnam setting are owned by P.A.T.H. Games. Nothing here transfers our rights to you.
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It is a work of fiction about real historical events; it does not glorify war and is not an endorsement of any party to it. We do not guarantee the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that saves will never be lost.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, P.A.T.H. Games is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game, including lost saves or progress.
